Generative artificial intelligence (Generative AI) is revolutionizing all activities related to text analysis, understanding, and generation, including software test management.
Large Language Models (LLMs), such as OpenAI´s GPT-4, Google´s Gemini, Facebook´s LLaMA, and Anthropic´s Claude, are publicly available and have been trained to perform specific tasks such as language translation, sentiment analysis, text generation, and question answering. These models use large datasets to learn and continuously improve natural text understanding and generation.
Publicly available LLM models have outstanding features that make them unique. OpenAI´s GPT-4 stands out for its multitasking capability and adaptability to different writing styles. Google´s Gemini integrates with Google´s search capabilities to provide accurate and contextual answers. Facebook´s LLaMA is designed to be highly scalable and resource-efficient, ideal for large deployments and research tasks. Anthropic´s Claude focuses on security and ethical compliance, providing more natural and human interactions.
At Software Testing Bureau, we have long been exploring how to harness the power of Generative AI models and apply them to everyday software testing tasks. We were recently one of the first 8 companies in the world to participate in the first GenAI-Assisted Test Engineer Certified GenAiA-Assisted Test Engineer (GenAiA-TE) training course, organized and led by one of the leaders in the application of AI to testing, Tariq King.
We will soon launch the Spanish version of this course to prepare all test analysts in Latin America to take advantage of LLM in their daily tasks.

The integration of AI and ML into software test planning and design is transforming the daily work of test analysts, providing advanced tools to improve accuracy and efficiency. Adopting these technologies not only streamlines the testing process, but also ensures higher quality software. Test analysts can focus on more strategic and creative tasks, leaving the repetitive and detailed analysis tasks to the advanced capabilities of Generative AI. At Software Testing Bureau, we recognized these challenges and created STEVE, a virtual assistant to assist our analysts in their software test planning, design and execution tasks.
